Big Bear Lodge

My wife and I had a wonderful time together with our children and grandchildren. We all had an exceptional stay and look forward to possibly returning at a later date. The cabin was a very homey setting away from home. We enjoyed being together at some of the local attractions for fun and great food. It was truly a great experience for everyone!

Cabin was clean. It had comfortable beds and in a good location. Had beautiful views of the mountains. We would love to stay there again. We enjoyed our stay and was so happy to be able to bring our fur babies with us.

This was a amazing cabinSo much room and things to do and so convenient in location to everything we love to do. We hated leaving a can’t wait to come back one day. A special thanks to Amy at Acorn Ridge for making our stay unforgettable!

Overall we enjoyed our stay. This cabin is close to attractions and far enough away for quiet. It is also large enough for play with the grandchildren. Pool table, theatre room and game room were all used. The large table made card games with the kids enjoyable.

Everything we needed...

We loved this cabin. The bedrooms were spacious, the kitchen had everything we needed (minus extra cleaning/garbage supplies), and the instructions were very clear. When we arrived, the upstairs AC was out! But within 2 hours the company had sent a maintenance person out and it was fixed by that evening. We all really appreciated how fast they managed to fix that!

The hs was great for our group of 4 couples. The pics of the hs were on point, but seeing it in person was much more welcoming. Everything we needed to prepare/cook meals was available. We were close to everything in Pigeon Forge, and only 8-10 mls from Gatling. We really enjoyed our time spent at Big Bear Lodge. Thanks to ARCR for all your help with our questions/concerns. We will def rent from you when returning to the area.

Overall great stay. A few hickups but nothing that could not wait till we left.

We were on vacation in Daytona Beach when Hurricane Ian hit. We had several days left of vacation and decided to stop near Gatlinburg for a few days. We actually booked our cabin while driving to Gatlinburg. The agent at Acorn Ridge Cabin Rentals was very pleasant, helpful and accomodating. The cabin was very nice (could use a little updating), but it was clean and had everything we needed. The location was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would definitely contact Acorn Ridge Cabin Rentals for our next trip to Tennessee.

The check-in and check-out process was very easy. Everything went smooth from our first night to the last. My family and I truly enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of vacationing in the cabin. The only issues was had with the cabin, albeit small, was the gas grill having no gas and the tile in the kitchen and foyer being in poor condition. We had to go to a store up the street to get gas to grill. Overall it was a very good vacation.

We had made reservation for another cabin only to have them cancelled by owner on the morning we were to arrive contacted Acorn Ridge while driving staff very friendly and helpful was able to get everything done over the phone the Cabin was beautiful and pet friendly.

There were 5 family units that came and we all enjoyed our stay.

It was very nice an awesome staying here!!!!

We had a great time

This cabin was very clean and served our purposes well! We had our family Christmas gathering with 10 adults and had space for us to either spread out, or gather in smaller groups! It was well stocked, and the sofa beds were comfy.

Unless the cleaning company does their job, we will not recommend or stay at this property again. Thick dust is one thing, but a measuring cup filled with mouse turds is another.
Couldn't find the foosball for the game. Furniture broken and worn. Broken shelf in refrigerator. Appliances need updated.

Trip was excellent. Cabin was great. Family had a great time. Other than a few mice streaking across the floor at night. It’s to be expected when your cabin is in the woods. Saw a few turkey and deer from our cabin also.

my overall stay was great however the tv's could use an upgrade on the main floor bedrooms, other than that everything was god as usual. THANK YOU

For a large group of adults (we had 14) this was a great layout with 5 bedrooms, 5 baths and 3 sleeper sofas. We needed all of those beds. The theater room was great. It was clean! Nice long dining room table! However, it needs TLC and a little more inspection between guests. A/C unit was leaking water and the clothes dryer did not work at all, which we were told had not been reported by guests. Property management reacted quickly to A/C issue, but explained there is no one in town to service appliances on weekends (that seems like a good reason for them to inspect all appliances themselves instead of relying solely on guests to report issues). Sleeper sofas need replacing. Downstairs sleeper sofa was rigged with 2x4 due to broken legs and had come apart which we fixed. Upstairs sleeper sofa mattress was just a spring covered with cloth, not really sleepable. The only sleeper sofa with sheets was in the main living room. Water pressure can be an issue so don't count on multiple people showering at the same time. We did not run out of hot water, but did have one incident of someone getting stranded in the shower briefly with no water to rinse off. Although there were negatives, all in all this was a good place to stay. Some furniture and appliance updating would go a LONG way here.

We had only 7 stay and we had a wonderful time. So fun to have everyone in same place with exception of bride and groom in a cabin of their own.

Plenty of space for 3 families with a total of 12 people. Everyone had a bed and nice to have extra bathrooms. Kitchen not well stocked. Only one large bowl and small pots and pans made it difficult to cook for 12. No 9x13 pans.

what we like about the cabin that it had everything you need so if you didn't what to leave you didnt have to. had alot of room. beautiful looking at the mountain.

The best cabin ever for our large group. Plenty of bedrooms and sleeper sofas for everyone. Nice size kitchen and great big table. Great fun for everyone.

We had another great stay at Big Bear Lodge. The amenities are perfect and the Acorn Ridge Staff are top notch. We are already planning our next trip.

Big bear lodge was great. Very nice and clean I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at this cabin great location and not that far from the parkway. Pam and Laurie had excellent service and very kind and all their workers were good as well I would definitely stay in big bear lodge again.

Overall my family and I am happy with the rental but we are just a little disppointed that the WiFi did not work and get fix till after our stay and some of the linens were a little old and the theater chairs are old.

Our group included 3 families (6 adults, 5 kids). The kids enjoyed the movie theatre, pool table, and table soccer game. There was plenty of room. Every bedroom had its own bathroom which was great! The internet had good bandwidth and consistency no issues using a Roku all weekend. The only drawback if there was one was that the carpet and furniture were visibly worn and in need of updating. Outside of that, we had a great time at a great location.

Really liked our stay here.. the cabin was clean and very nice inside.. really like the idea of having a bathroom in each bedroom! Except a hot top did not work when we came in and had to wait until the next day to fix it. Also one of the management people was very rude when we called to report hot tub problem

Enjoyed our stay.

Our family really enjoyed our stay in this home. We all had plenty of room to relax, and each bedroom has it's own private bathroom. The upper level is wonderful, with the recreation common area in the middle. Plus the main level has plenty seating for the whole family. The kitchen needed more pots and pans, but we could easily have packed a few. There is a gas grill out on the porch, as well as plenty of rockers to relax and enjoy the view. There is a hot tub out there as well, for those who wanted to use it. The lower level with the pool table and theatre room are superb. The theatre room could use some new furniture, but enjoyable. Over all we really enjoyed our stay. The only problem is the theatre room furniture and over all cleanliness of the home. A real good deep cleaning will bring this spectacular home up even more. Since our family always cleans everywhere we stay, it was no issue for us. We will absolutely stay here again.

The stay was great as usual everyone had a great time and want to visit more and i am greatful for the wonderful stay

The cabin was very clean, and the bedrooms were spacious. There are three separate living areas which is nice, and my son enjoyed the home theater. We had a problem with the lock when we arrived at the cabin, but it was resolved quickly with a phone call. The only downside to this cabin is it is very close to other cabins. One of the neighbors was playing loud obnoxious music which was annoying. Overall this is a great value and we enjoyed our stay.

There was multiple occassions that we found bugs; spiders on one of the upstairs beds and many small bugs on the lower level sofas. my nephew had small bite marks and a rash due to sitting in the lower level sofas. But overall we enjoyed our stay and know living in a cabin there will be bugs.

We enjoyed our family time together in "Big Bear". Everything was very clean and in order.

Your cabin is wonderfully appointed. We certainly enjoyed our time there. The media room is awesome!

Thank you for a great accommodation while in Pigeon Forge! Bear Bear cabin exceeded my expectation. Since this was a pet friendly cabin I expected some signs of previous pets ie, smell, small spots on carpet, etc. I am very happy to say that NONE of these things were present. I will definitely recommend Acorn Ridge to friends. Thanks again for a great family experience!

The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Easy check-in/out process. Pam and Lori went out of their way to help us.
