Pigeon Forge is a historic mountain town known as the home of Dolly Parton's amusement park and dinner theater show, as well as dozens of family-friendly attractions along Route 441. Pigeon Forge is less than five miles away from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and it sits right between Sevierville and Gatlinburg. 

The World of Dolly Parton

Sevierville may be the birthplace of Dolly Parton, but Pigeon Forge is home to the endless entertainment of Dolly. Dolly Parton’s Stampede is a unique dinner and show experience set in an 85,000-square-foot facility featuring 32 horses, dozens of cast members, ostrich races, illusions, music and more. The show also includes a four-course meal. 

Located in the heart of Pigeon Forge, Dollywood and Dollywood’s Splash Country offer family-friendly fun from early spring to winter. The theme park is home to amusement rides, crafts, music, and more. It is also home to the Southern Gospel Museum and Hall of Fame. Dollywood’s Splash Country is the ultimate summer destination offering rides for the whole family. The water park is inspired by Parton’s childhood swimming in the rivers of the Smokies.

Pigeon Forge Old Mill

Established in 1830, The Old Mill at Pigeon Forge is now a center for dining, shopping, and art. The Old Mill was a crucial component of everyday life for early settlers of Pigeon Forge, and it remained the source of electricity to the town until 1935. Today you can buy expertly crafted pantry items, pick up fresh bakery treats and chocolates, or dine at one of the several Old Mill restaurants.

Country Music Week

Country Music Week takes place in March at the Country Tonite Theatre in Pigeon Forge. The event is sponsored by the North American Country Music Association International, and it features a series of live music performances, competitions, and workshops. Come enjoy country music of all types, including bluegrass and gospel. 

Wilderness Wildlife Week 

Want to learn more about the Great Outdoors? There are few better places to do it then in the Great Smoky Mountains. Wilderness Wildlife Week takes place each May, offering guided hikes, youth programs, 48-hour film competition, photography contest, and more. The event is free and open to the public.  

Winterfest Lights 

Each holiday season, Pigeon Forge is covered in more than 5 million lights from early November to mid-February. The Winterfest Driving Tour of Lights is the perfect way to take it all in.
