Mick's Hideaway

The property was great, but a little further away from the hubbub than we would have liked (no reflection on the cabin or the management company). The lady we dealt w at Acorn Ridge Cabin Rentals was amazing, super helpful, friendly! No complaints about anything.

We LOVE Mick's & have stayed here many years. Our only complaint would be the bathroom sink is clogged,and there are a couple bulbs over that sink that are out. Easy fixes. Otherwise, perfect!

My husband and I just celebrated our first wedding anniversary. We love the cabin and the location. The cabin was so beautiful. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!

This was our 2nd trip to Micks Hideaway and it didn’t disappoint in anyway whatsoever. The couch was upgraded since our last stay and there were other improvements as well. We love every single thing about this cabin and are already looking forward to our next visit

We really had a great time. The cabin was a little hard to find. That was because we got there very late.After finding the cabin we had a great time. We both agreed that we had one of the best times ever.

We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay here! If we ever decide to stay in the area again we will definitely book this cabin again!!

Mick’s Hideaway was perfect for our family. When you look hard, you can see other cabins around, but it feels very secluded and private. Quiet and peaceful! Clean and well stocked! Easy to follow instructions for arrival and departure. Kids loved checkers and fooseball in the loft, and of course, the hot tub. Mick’s wasn’t actually what we reserved; they had to change us due to a miscommunication with owners of our first cabin, and Acorn Ridge staff handled that wonderfully, suggested Mick’s as a replacement, even gave a small discount for the trouble (which, it really wasn’t) of switching, and they were right, it was perfect. 30 minutes from Pigeon Forge, 20 minutes from Sevierville. My youngest didn’t want to leave, and we’d all love to come back.

We stayed for the weekend and had a blast the cabin was clean and cozy we enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

We had a cousins trip. House was perfect. Had all we needed! No worry, the TV is no longer a box tv lol. Mike must have been a great dog!

Showers were hot and stocked w lots of towels. We were able to fix full meals in the kitchen and coffee maker worked great! We will definitely return for another visit

Our whole experience was great! The cabin was just as pictured and very cute, the location feels secluded and private. It was nice that we could go straight to the cabin without having to check in anywhere.

This cabin was a great size for us and our son. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. We liked the fact that it didn’t have Wi-Fi so we could unplug from the world for awhile. We liked that it was secluded so we could really relax. It’s a great place to stay! The only recommendation would be to replace the couch. The support is gone and you sink into it.

It was our very first family vacation. We have a 3 year old! We absolutely loved the cabin! So quaint in the woods, nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! We can’t wait to come back!!!

Neighbors are far enough away that you can't even see their cabins from this one. Great view off of the back deck and the hot tub. Would definitely stay here again.

As always we had the best time celebrating our anniversary at Mick's! Each time we come back it seems to get better and better. We will of course be back next year to celebrate! It's always so peaceful and this time was no different. We can't wait until our next trip!

This was our 2nd year going to Mick's Hideaway for our Smoky Mountain vacation. It is a great place to stay as it is semi-secluded with neighbors at a distance. It is up a mountain in a prime location, as it is in close proximity to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Mick’s Hideaway is cozy with a fireplace and all the necessary amenities; washer, dryer, dishwasher, stove, cookware, t.v., linens/towels, etc. It also has a Jacuzzi tub and outdoor hot tub. as well as a game area for children upstairs. It has been clean each time we went and very comfortable. It was so nice to go out every day and check out the local attractions and then come back in the evenings and relax. The pictures are nice but an actual stay makes you appreciate the beauty of this cabin.

My husband and I took a few days for a getaway and chose this cabin. The cabin was perfect if you’re looking for something away from the crowds of Gatlinburg. Weather didn’t cooperate while we were there so we spent most of our time in the cabin enjoying nights by the fire and the hot tub. We would definitely return!!

When I first got there it was scary because it was deep in the Smoky Mountains, however the ambience was refreshing. The environment and cabin, however, turned out to be lovely and fully utilized. Many utilities were there waiting for us. There was also helpful staff on call when we had questions. Along with plenty of games for my kids to play.

Rental was easy to find, very clean, quiet, and relaxing!

My stay was wonderful! There were things customized to me and it added such a cute touch. The instructions/rules were crystal clear and kept things very organized when arriving and leaving. Since it was so far up the mountain it was so peaceful and gave a great escape from the city.

We like to stay at Mick’s here every time we visit this area. We have had to stay other places when Mick’s wasn’t available and nothing else ever measures up.

My 1st stay at Mick's was in the summer of 2001, just a few short months after its completion. With the exception of maybe 1 or 2 years, I have have stayed at Mick's during different times of the year ever since 2001 and I have NEVER been disappointed! This has become my home away from home! I've brought along my family and many friends who also love Mick's! It's quiet, serene, secluded and has everything you need in order to get away from this "rat race" called life! Although I live 15 minutes from the Gulf Coast beaches, I'll gladly trade it for Mick's Hideaway any day! I just came back yesterday and am already looking at my work calendar to plan my next trip in 2021! A special thank you to the owners, Bruce & May, for sharing their wonderful slice of Heaven with us! 5 stars is not enough! :-)

We wanted a relaxing and isolated vacation and we certainly found it! This cabin was idyllic for social distancing, cozy romantic evenings and relaxation. The property management were great with their communication and fixing a slight issue. We can’t wait to come back!

We rented this cabin last minute the week before Thanksgiving. We were overwhelmed at the location and price we paid for this cabin. It was very nice, clean, and my family absolutely loved it. This cabin was perfect for our family of 4. I would recommend this cabin for anyone that’s looking for a great deal on a cabin that is in close proximity of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

Mick's Hideaway was the perfect spot for our vacation in the mountains. It is tucked away nicely in the mountains in a semi-secluded location but there are other cabins in the distance. It is in close proximity to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge so easy access to all the attractions. Very cozy and clean with all the things you including washer, dryer, dishwasher, stove, and cookware. After a long day of site seeing and visiting the local attractions you can come back and sit by the fireplace or enjoy the jacuzzi tub or hot tub to relax. The pictures are nice but the cabin is even more spectacular in person. Also the scenery was beautiful in November as the leaves were nice fall colors. Definitely want to stay at Mick's Hideaway again!!! Great Smoky Mountain Vacation!!!

The cabin was beautiful. I loved that it was tucked on the woods. I loved that it was named after their beloved dog Mick. The cabin was clean had everything we needed.

My family and I enjoyed our visit to this beautiful piece of Heaven!! The area surrounding the cabin is great for leisurely walks and the scenery is quite tranquil and peaceful. The cabin was cozy, clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed for our stay!! The cabin is far enough out to be restful but close enough in to get to destinations in no time. No internet but the cabin has movies and we brought games so we were just fine!! The staff at Acorn Ridge was very nice, knowledgeable and helpful. Loved everything about our stay and we plan on returning!!

It was a very beautiful cabin and private even though there are other cabins around. It I very peaceful. Even though it's private it is close enough whether you want to visit gatlinburg or pigeon forge.the property was as described

Place was clean, comfortable, private and perfect for a get away weekend with your special someone, or if you just want to go there with friends and have a good time. Great for it all. It’s 35 minutes from town and in the middle of nowhere but i enjoyed that aspect of the seclusion.

It was perfect! It was semi secluded, the view from the back deck was trees and so beautiful. The inside was decorated like a home so it had that feeling. We loved being able to disconnect just the two of us but we were still able to go to town for dinner and things we needed. We had a great time here!

We stayed in Micks Hideaway, for my mothers birthday. The house was semi secluded, but it felt like you were in your own world. It only took about 30 min to get to Gatlinburg, or Pigeon Forge. The house was adorable. Perfect size for a family of 4 or 2 couples. The appliances were dated, but worked. There were notes left that helped to make sure you were keeping things in working order. All in all I have recommended this place to many if my friends and would absolutely stay here again!

This cabin was very cute and we could not see any neighbors from the house so it was secluded. There was no Wi-Fi but for me that wasn't a big deal. The master bed was very comfortable, the loft bed could use a mattress topper though. Overall I would stay here again.

We had a great stay at Micks hideaway. It is in a nice location and very roomy. If I could change anything, the hot tub jets were not very strong. Overall the cabin was pretty clean aside from the upstairs air vents being blocked by insulation that has flowed through the duct work. It has a nice back deck with rockers and the parking is sufficient.

It was a nice weekend getaway that wasn’t too far from attractions and things to do. There were index cards all around the cabin that helped with leaving things how they are and how to use things. Very helpful! The bed was comfortable and the cabin was very clean! Will be sure to stay again! Would be super useful if wifi was available for emergencies because I had no signal!

We truly enjoyed our time at Mick's Hideaway. Such a beautiful place; it was comfortable and inviting with it's cozy decor and we quickly felt right at home! It was clean and we had everything we needed for a peaceful, relaxing, restful stay. The Acorn Ridge staff was helpful, professional and friendly. We plan on returning soon!

The cabin was as is described so no surprises there. Very nice. Especially for the money during this peak season. There is a moldy/musty smell that needs attention. It is an older cabin which is fine except the smell. Other than that, it was a very pleasant stay.

We stay at Mick’s Hideaway every year on the week of our anniversary. The place has become something of a fixture in our marriage, and we love it so much. It’s so quaint and always so clean. All the amenities always work, and the owners have clearly put their hearts into the place. It’s pretty private, too. And so, so quiet.

We had a wonderful week at Mick’s Hideaway! We love the coziness of the cabin and that it seems secluded! We can hardly wait until our next vacation in the Smokies and would love to stay in your cabin again!!

LOVE staying at Mick’s- have stayed there several times and definitely will again. It’s always clean & welcoming. It IS an older property & in need of some general upkeep, but that will not keep us from staying again. Kitchen faucet was in bad need of repair, & hot tub needed to be emptied & cleaned. Otherwise, it was great!

Our stay at Mick’s Hideaway was so wonderful and relaxing. I wish we would’ve stayed longer! The hot tub was fantastic. The cabin itself was perfect and stocked with everything we needed. We used the grill almost every night. We will definitely be back for another stay.

We had a nice stay overall. Just a few issues the beds were a little uncomfortable. Would have been nice if it was a King in master bedroom. Coffee pot was a small 4 cup deal that did not work correctly the first pot I made. Need a full size coffee pot. The ceiling fan in bedroom made a clicking sound needs snugged up. The big picture windows in the top of the cabin need washed and steps to lower deck need some attention. WiFi would be nice barely got a signal but that is an issue throughout the mountains.

This was our 4th stay at Mick's and we have never been disappointed. The serenity, sounds of nature, the hot tub and of course the neighborhood dog making his rounds. We absolutely love this place and wish we could have stayed longer, but are already looking forward to going back

We loved the location of the cabin it was in the mountains yet just 30 minutes from popular areas. The back deck had the most wonderful atmosphere making you feel like you were in the smokies. I would say they need to get free WiFi. I had no service in the cabin, I planned loosely I figured I could just decided the night before what we would do during the day. This was impossible

Beautiful scenery and beautiful cabin!! Difficult to find in the dark the first time. Once you find it, not too bad and easy to get to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Bed is hard and not very comfortable; needs to be replaced. Everything in working order. Cabin was very clean and well stocked. Enjoyed our stay.

We always enjoy staying here. There are plenty of nice local places to visit. I just wish they would get new mattresses..we slept upstairs and on the couch for the most part. Other than that, it was a very relaxing atmosphere.

The cabin was very nice. I loved how quiet and private the area was around the cabn. Could use a little updating. The stove and dishwasher are outdated and the mattresses are in dire need of replacing.

Loved this place!! The cabin is clean, beautiful, comfortable and nicely decorated. The area is peaceful and quiet and a great place to unwind and spend time with my family! Very reasonably priced.

The cabin is spacious and extremely clean. The pictures depict the place very well. All of the appliances and amenities are in great condition and function. The hot tub on the back deck was the highlight of our trip by far. The national park was only 35 min drive away and nothing was too far from the cabin. We loved being out of the town and in the woods. Great vacation spot!
